Re-use and recycling

Here are some helpful links; please use the email list to tell us of any others or to give feedback on these. And of course remember that you can always offer items to your neighbours via the WERA email list.  As background we have Haringey’s declaration of a climate emergency.

  • Our wheelie bins:
    • Our waste and recycling is collected by Veolia. Their website has a lot of information. If you have questions contact them on 020 8885 7700 or by email.
    • Which bin? Veolia produce a useful  A-Z.
  •  Paint:
    • Community RePaint – you can drop off left-over paint at Barnet’s depot in Summers Lane.
  • Furniture:
  • General household stuff:
    • GoneForGood – with the help of a phone app, they collect your goods and deliver them to a charity chosen by you.
    • Freecycle or Freegle – you offer your unwanted things via their list.
  • Books:
    • Oxfam (Crouch End or Muswell Hill)
    • Your books help to fund Oxfam.
  • Electricals:
    • Oxfam Crouch End – apparently their manager is qualified to check electrical goods
